Bringing the Christmas magic to Yorkshire and Derbyshire with a real Christmas Experience for the children
I saw a post on social media that said parents are the reason why Christmas is so magical. We are the ones that find the experiences to go to on the build up to the big day, we are the ones that buy the presents, leave the letters, play the music, do the wrapping, cook the dinner and decorate the house. We are the reason why our children love Christmas so much.
This got me thinking about what I wanted to offer families this year. I have always put on winter sessions, sometimes they have been at Christmas tree farms and sometimes in the woods…but this year I took months in preparing for The Ultimate Christmas Experience.
the magic started before the session took place. I had a calligrapher write individual letters to the children. Parents had to fill out a small questionnaire online to give me information about their child, what they wanted for Christmas and something they had done this year that put them on the ‘nice’ list.
The letters were sent and Father Christmas told them that they had been selected for a special treat on the 1st of December. When the children came to the set up they had no idea that they would be having to make a Christmas wish to receive their gift. They said the magic words and a jolly ‘ho-ho-ho’ sounded and Father Christmas walked into the room.
Each child got to spend 20 minutes with Father Christmas. He told them stories, funny jokes and helped them scoop reindeer food into a bag to leave out on Christmas Eve.
The sessions were truly magical and was the perfect way to kick start our December of Christmas magic.
