A romantic fun-filled wedding day at Knowsley Hall, Prescot
The grandeur of Knowsley Hall is nothing short of amazing, and the perfect setting for this regal, romantic fun-filled wedding day for Laura & Tom.
A cheeky chappy from London and a beautiful girl from the North met, fell in love and wed in Laura’s family church and then drove through the grounds of Knowsley hall to attend their grand wedding reception.
A pleasure to photograph the romance, laughter, and regal splendour of this wedding day. I paid special attention to capturing in my signature style – a mixture of documentary, fine art and editorial so that Laura and Tom would be able to relive their day over and over again in a style that mirrored how their wedding day felt.
A Church Ceremony
It’s always important to be a silent storyteller during a ceremony, but even more so in a church. I had with me my friend and fellow photographer, Ellie this day- after speaking with Laura & Tom prior to their wedding day it was decided that an extra photographer would be needed; they had a guest list of nearly 200 people. Alongside Ellie and I, the couple had also employed a videographer team. I’ve recently been sent the video- it is defiantly one to watch (linked below).
Four professionals in the church capturing the glances, embraces, and heartfelt laughter of Laura and Tom with their guests meant we all took a position to document these moments from, which worked wonderfully.
A Fun-Filled Wedding Day at Knowsley Hall
Contrary to the formalities often associated with having a wedding day in a grand venue such as Knowsley Hall, the wedding of Laura & Tom was a celebration of love and laughter. It was an honour to capture such a day.
The weather was one of the warmest days we had in the Summer 2023. Plenty of water was available and hand held fans to keep everyone comfortable.
The whole day felt like a destination wedding with the outrageous heat and the regal Manor House, but the nods to England were apparent throughout the day, including the red double decker bus to transport the guests from the church to the venue…and a surprise visit from the red arrows.
