Sunset photographs on your wedding day are just magic! I always suggest ten minutes to my couples at sunset. It just gives you the dreamiest light that you just can’t get at any other time. It’s also nice to be able to nip away from your guests and have a little ten minutes just the two of you.
The big question is always going to be – where can we go for your sunset photos?
Maybe your venue has great space we could use?
Perhaps there’s a nearby field?
Even a lake?
The point is, you want to be able to see the sun setting. It’s best to plan these things in advance so your photographer can make notes and look at sunset timings for you.
It’s also good to have a back up plan- if there isn’t a sunset (and this happens), even in the height of Summer we can never be certain the sun will show or give us dreamy light in the evening, so let’s plan for this. What else could you do to have that extra ten minutes, just the two of you, and create dreamy images for your gallery?
You could:
All of these ideas would be perfect to do around the time of sunset or just after when the night is drawing in. It gives you a little bit of extra magic for your couple photos that you just can’t get at any other time of day.
Your wedding day is yours! It is unique to you. Treasure all the little things and create photos that you can love forever.
Your wedding gallery will be made up of so many candids from your day; guests enjoying themselves, laughing and crying during the speeches, hugging each other, and these moments are so special to capture and have. But do not over look your time together for your photos. Schedule the time into your day, trust me- you want these!
If you have anymore ideas I’d love to hear from you!
